Hello!
About Emily Morgan
Hi there! My name is Emily Morgan. I am a coloured pencil artist from South Wales, UK. I specialise in creating realistic and beautiful pet portraits, capturing the soul and character of each subject I draw. I am also greatly inspired by the natural world and love to create artworks inspired by British wildlife!

My story...
As a child, I could be found drawing or 'colouring' at the dining table, I loved to paint pictures and experiment with colours, drawing and copying my favourite characters from books. My love of drawing was always there.
Growing up, I was heavily inspired by my Grandfather. David 'Barry' Morgan was a very talented watercolour artist who taught me how to paint. His love of painting and the peace he found from creating idyllic landscape scenes has always inspired me. Throughout secondary school, if ever I had a free moment, I would be in the art room drawing!
During University whilst studying Fine Art, I particularly enjoyed portraiture in the medium of oils. However, my love of nature and animals soon crept in and I began to draw dogs and other animals. I found my own medium of coloured pencils and have honestly never looked back. I have been creating portraits for the last 5 years!
I now live and work in South Wales, with my husband and two spaniels. By day I am an office worker, but by night, I am a tea drinking, biscuit eating artist! I adore drawing and look forward to continuing my art journey, whilst hopefully making my Grandfather proud!
